Product introduction of high alumina brick
The high alumina bricks for the top of the electric steelmaking furnace are made of selected bauxite clinker as the main raw materials, through high-pressure molding and high-temperature sintering. Its main mineral components are corundum and mullite phases, which have excellent high temperature mechanical properties and chemical corrosion resistance. Especially for non sintered products, its shape and size are more accurate and its thermal shock stability is better.
Features of high alumina brick
High alumina bricks contain more Al2O3, which is close to neutral refractories and can resist the corrosion of acid slag and alkaline slag. Due to the presence of SiO2, the resistance to alkaline slag is weaker than that to acid slag.
The refractoriness of high alumina bricks is higher than that of clay bricks and semi silica bricks, reaching 1750~1790 ℃, which belongs to advanced refractory materials.
Due to the high content of Al2O3 in high alumina products, less impurities and less fusible glass bodies, the load softening temperature is higher than that of clay bricks. However, since mullite crystals have not yet formed a network structure, the load softening temperature is still lower than that of silicon bricks.
